Orientation Days

Day1: From Indonesia to Bangkok, Thailand

July 31, 2018 

I went with my friends who joining Seateacher also, they are Khairunnisa, Moh. Rizky and Nuriman U. Bogodad. Our flight on july 31, 2018 at 06.40 A.M Jakarta Time. We were so excited to join this program and cannot wait to see each other with the participants from the other cities.

Around 11.00 A.M Bangkok Time, we arrived safely Alhamdullilah. Then we went to the immigration. Little bit story, I took a video at immigration then the security come to me and told me to delete my video caused there is not allowed any taking video or pictures in immigration. I suddenly delete it. It was so surprising me. I’m so sorry.

Welcome to Thailand

Well when we finished our immigration and claim baggage. We left the terminal 1 to look for Miss Nina and Miss Nit that waiting us in gate 3. We met them and said that we needed a SIM card for communicate with our family that we just arrived in Thailand. So we bought an unlimited SIM card for a month with prices 695 baht or around Rp 324.000. So lucky we are, we got a free tote bag from the shop. Then we waited our pick up mini bus from Valaya Alongkorn University (VRU) in outside.

After the bus came, we left the airport to go to VRU. Before we went to VRU, we sent our friends Khairunnisa and Moh. Rizky to go to their dorm neared from VRU. After that, we went to VRU Hotel for check in and take some rest. While Miss Nina and Miss Nit picked up other friends that will arrive.

After check in, we decided to take a lunch in food centre in VRU. Miss Nit sent us a location of Muslim food court. We were so happy because there is a Muslim food court in VRU.

So my friends and I went to the food centre. The food was little bit strange in my tongue. Maybe because of the different ingredients they used. I don't think so.

After lunch we went back to the hotel and took a rest.

It was very tired day ever ;)

Day 2:  First day In VRU Thailand

August 1, 2018

 

I woke up at 06.00 a.m Bangkok time to prepare for joining orientation and welcoming ceremony from president of VRU. I’m so excited to see all of the awesome people in VRU.

Before joined the orientation, we had breakfast in first floor in hotel. They treated us so well. It was very delicious breakfast.

They were welcoming us so well. We got many respect and happiness of them. I’m so happy to come here and meet them. We got a souvenir or just called pin from president of VRU as thanks gift for coming to VRU.

We were also introduced with our buddies. They were very nice. After that we took pictures with the president and all of the lectures and buddies in that room.

After the orientation, we invited to walk around the university especially in the VRU Demonstration School even it is not my school where I’m going to teach. But other friends waited for picked up to go to their dormitory.

We met the head master and some teachers of the school. They were very welcoming us and exited to see us. We got some souvenir from them. And yup, took pictures again J. We must documented every memory with them.

We came in the class to see the student’s activities. They were very cheerful and cute. We met the others teacher who handle the class and some buddies again who practice there.

After walked around the school we back to our hotel to take a rest for prepare to go to the dormitory and school tomorrow morning.

It was wonderful day.
